Made in Tarrant: Former restaurateur builds croissant business from Fort Worth home kitchen

Tim Young, a former restaurateur and a real estate broker, started making and selling croissants and other bakery items on a grab-and-go basis to his fellow residents at the Texas & Pacific Lofts in downtown Fort Worth.

He named his custom bakery business Baked Just for You by Tim D Young. His baked goods, made in his home kitchen, include classic croissants, Vienna-style pastries called viennoiseries, pain au chocolat and Danishes.

“It’s really working well,” he said. “It’s great for me since I was a restaurateur for most of my life.”

His pop-up sales at the T&P Station have included four-packs of croissants. He offers curbside delivery from the downtown Fort Worth station at 221 W. Lancaster Ave.

Young also gives away croissants to others, including homeless people.
